We Americans aren't a complicated folk. We appreciate life's simple pleasures and take pride in the work of our countrymen. It's just one of many reasons we're so proud of our parent automaker here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Twin Falls, because American-made quality has always come standard in the beauties at our dealership. And if there's one man who appreciates these qualities more than anyone else, it's the President of the United States of America.
Case in point: the one and only Richard Milhouse Nixon.
Now, ever since 1939, our Presidents have been commissioning armored limousines from American automakers to escort them around from Point A to Point B in both style and safety. It wasn't until Nixon's term in office that the job was given to Chrysler and three fabulous limos made their way to the White House. Since then, the honor has been awarded to other American automakers, but now the time has come to reclaim our former glory.
Just recently, the Secret Service announced that President Barack Obama is in need of a new limo and that they've already begun looking at proposals. Needless to say, the stakes are high, but if we know Barack, we're crossing our fingers that he goes with an old favorite. After all, he had nothing but good things to say about the 2013 Chrysler 300 that he drove before taking office.
