If there's one thing that's clear about our 2013 Jeep Wrangler models here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Twin Falls, it's that these babies were built to last. Make sense given that they started out as military-issue vehicles and all, and while they've cleaned up around the edges over the years, they're still solid as a rock. Timeless durability is just one of the many reasons we're so fond of them, because when you're looking to buy a new or used car, you always want something that lasts.
Still, with so many options on the market today that claim to have the best five-year cost-to-own figures, it can be a tall order sifting through the competition. Lucky for all of us, Edmunds.com has come to the rescue.
For three years now, the automotive experts over at Edmunds.com have been putting together their Best Retained Value Awards as a way to highlight the model-year nameplates and automakers that will last drivers the longest without breaking the bank. Each vehicle was assessed based on their True Market Value price when sold new and then compared to their highest-projected residual values after five years of ownership.
So with a projected residual value of 50.6% after five years, Jeep had the Best Retained Value for a non-luxury brand this year. As for what helped it achieve such an honor, all signs point to the quality and craftsmanship of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler. "The Wrangler is especially vital to the brand because its retained value sits at an elite level matched by few other vehicles in any segment,"1 says Joe Spina, director of auto remarketing at Edmunds.com.
With that said, feel free to take one of these iron horses for a test drive at our dealership here in Twin Fall, ID. Take it from us, they're up for the challenge.
