Getting the most out of your favorite vehicle can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For many new Dodge drivers, it's routine maintenance and repairs at the service center so you'll stay in tip-top shape. For others it's keeping to a strict driving schedule for optimal gas mileage and consumption. For others, it's all about adding on, customizing, and getting every last bit of power you can.
Fortunately, Dodge feels the same way, and it's clear with the new Challenger seen charging across a test track recently.
Because roaring under its hood sits a 6.4-liter supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8 engine and it performs Justas aggressively as it sounds. Early speculation was that it could kick out somewhere around 500 to 570 horsepower, competing directly with a few other manufacturers' beasting vehicles. However, it seems like the reality of it might be even better than that.
With a raised hood to accommodate the extra engine size, and what's assumed to be a larger air intake hiding behind some front fascia camouflage, the spies at work are now saying that this Hellcat-equipped Challenger could explode with up to 640 ponies! Consider us impressed, to say the very least.
Whether or not this is the precursor to a production announcement is still unclear but you can get that we're all crossing our fingers in anticipation!
