This past year the Jeep brand celebrated its 75th anniversary, which also happened to coincide with the 50th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, UT. In celebration of both milestones, Jeep got special permission to tackle the legendary Lion’s Back rock obstacle, which has been officially closed to the public since 2004. It’s a daring feat, but the Jeep drivers arrived well prepared with three specially tuned Jeep brand vehicles capable of standing up to the challenge. If you’d like to catch some of that Jeep spirit of adventure, check out the video below, then come see us here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Twin Falls to get you own adventure off to a rolling start.

It takes more than guts and know-how to climb something as steep and challenging as the Lion’s Back obstacle in Utah’s Moab desert. The ridge rises at a 65-degree incline and crests at 350 feet in the air, so hopefully no one has any fear of heights in that group! The three Jeep brand vehicles that undertook such a challenge were comprised of one customer 2-door JK Jeep Wrangler, one 4-door JK Wrangler Unlimited, and a WK Jeep Grand Cherokee, all masters of 4x4 off-roading in their own right.

While you can’t climb the Lion’s Back ridge for yourself, there’s plenty of adventure to chase down right here in our own Twin Falls, ID backyards. So if you’re looking for a fun way to spend the rest of the summer, consider taking it off-road in a rugged and capable new Jeep vehicle. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff here in our Twin Falls showroom will gladly help you find the right Jeep vehicle to match your driving style, so come on down!
